MINI Takes the States
MINI Takes the States
Has anyone looked into or considered MINI Takes the States this coming August? It's a California to New Hampshire road trip; I'm thinking I'll join in Nashville...

I just think it's a shame that MINI USA is totally disregarding the South East when we have so many enthusiasts down here. :( I was at DTM this week and they were wondering if anyone had voiced an opinion to MINI USA about that very subject...
Cathy, I'll be curious to hear about your adventure... depending upon the timing of it and when it will roll through TN, I might consider it... However, Nashville is a haul, even from Orlando...

Sounds neat, but I'm going on my annual Girl's Cruise in August. Plus I agree about them totally disregarding us down here. Especially when FL/SSM had the most show at the Dragon!
BTW - any fellow SSM Ladies interested in going with us on a cruise with your female friends, let me know. We have a blast every year and the more the merrier!

I've got my fingers crossed for a future event that would come to Florida... maybe a Miami to Seattle adventure! :D
I'm looking into it so I'll let you know what I learn... for the moment though I'm going to request the time off work.
The MINIs in the Mountains would be cool to do too, but timing is bad for me; I'll be in Colorado for work but it will be a week before MitM, I'd be away for too long to make it work...

Hmmm, I like lobsta!Chesney wrote:If you decide to do this we're only 4-5 hours away...we can have lobsta :D
I'm going to figure out how many days I can take off and how long it will take to get to my start point and then from the end back home... divide this by the hypotenuse, subtract three then add your age multiplied by your shoe size. That's it!

oh my location? I'm in the realm of "homeless" right now. I just finished my masters so I'm trying to decide where to take a job. I just got back (literally 20 min ago) from seattle, that looks like a likely possibility.minilisa wrote:OT:

We commented about the trip during the April GCMC meet (Gold Coast MINI Club) and at the April Tampa meet I attended, but as Lisa said, most thought it was too far from here to join. I'd love to do this and had penciled in the Tennessee-St. Louis-Indy stretch in my calendar. It all depends on how many more vacation/Personal Holiday days I've left after my vacation in July and other possible future motoring plans to Mickey, the Keys, etc. So basically I'm in a wait and see mode.
I could see meeting up with the tour in Nashville on 8/28.
I have a good friend in Charlottesville, VA for that overnight.
8/27 Orlando to Atlanta
8/28 Atlanta to Nashville to join MTTS.
8/29 St. Louis
8/30 Indianapolis
8/31 Charleston
9/01 Charlottesville
9/02 DC/Baltimore
9/03 NJ/NYC
9/04 Lakeville, CT
9/05 Lakeville to NC/SC
9/06 Florida
Sounds fun but SO much motoring!
