I cannot for the life of me remember what they are called - but it's a strip you place on your windsheild so you can see the traffic light without having to lean forward.
I think Mungo's mini had one at the dealer...

What you're looking for is
http://www.lightinsight.com/ a little plastic Fresnel lens (like in lighthouse glass lenses). Have used one on my 03 since 03 they work great.
