Ebay auction worth it???

Postby pichufo » Fri Mar 08, 2013 12:12 am

Hi everyone, I havn't been around in a while and actually just sold my '07 cooper s. However, I've just found a classic in the area and was wondering if some of the experts around here could give me some input on this auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Classic-Austin-Mini-Cooper-/130863273356?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item1e780f158c

I would love to get into a classic but I dont know what this car would be worth in the condition it is in. Worth bidding or not?

Thanks in advance guys!

this car looks familiar

someone trying a quick flip?

He originally said:

"My plan is to repair the worst areas of rust, give it a fresh tune, detail, new wheels/tires, etc., and use it as a daily driver until I have the funds to do a full restoration on it."

That was Jan 1 of this year

no opinion here - just giving you some data . . .

owner confirmed on NAM we're talking the same car

it is a mess

the work he was doing had a common theme - do it cheap

this is an SPi which is something you want to avoid IMO

The car is far from road ready and you'd need some deep pockets for parts and plenty of work time to get it there.
