Some nice cars guys, it sounds like you lot are really into it. When I figure out how to post a picture I'll add me and my cars to the Roll Call.

the clubby front bumper is very hard to find and quite expensive when you do find it, also the front turn signals...so i fabricated mines....

How in the world have I not posted my babies in this thread before?

Well, here is the pickup I had when this thread was first started...Tod. Why I ever got rid of that pickup I'll never know. This was a beefy little beast with a 1330 and a ton of performance mods. Fun to drive, but would shake out your fillings and blow your eardrums on long trips.
Image

And here's my current Mini...my son calls it the Yellow Duck Mini. No idea why, but the name stuck. Performance-wise it's the complete opposite of my pickup. This car is basically all stock 998 and is very pleasant to drive. Smooth and steady...perfect for weekend cruising. It's a clean, solid little car, but doesn't get nearly the attention and use that it should now that we have kids. I've put less than 250 miles on it in the last year. It gets driven around for about half an hour once a month or so, but that's all the action it's seen lately. I didn't even make it to one show this last year. :-( Hopefully that will change soon.
Image

I think I got pretty lucky with both of these when I shipped them over from the UK. Both arrived in great condition and were well cared for by their previous owners, unlike one of the others that I had come over (Boogie...poor car had been rather neglected, but is getting good treatment now from his current owner. :) )
While I'm definitely a novice when it comes to working on these cars, I love to tinker. If someone else has a project they're working on and need someone to hold a wrench, feel free to give me a holler.

Cant believe I forgot to post here too. Here's pictures of my Mini ("Christine") when it was in England before being shipped here. I lived in England for three years while serving in the US Air Force and got the "Mini fever" soon after getting there. I had the 998cc engine with Stage 1 kit swapped out for a 1275 (so I could travel on the highways), but kept the performance kit (just had to change the pin). The exterior was also restored and had my front end made to be detachable for easy engine access.

I was lucky enough to get it featured in minimag while I was stationed in the uk. it was a plain red with white roof with round nose 998 I got bored, and decided to go 1275.. got bored again and now its more than a hand full. gobbs of power lsd, and a few other goodies.. very fun to drive especially when im feeling "spirited" lol

I have a 1981 RHD 998cc. Anyone in the Jax, FL area that wants to do some Motoring, hit me up... well.. let me finish my floorboard up first... trying to avoid falling out the bottom!!
