Roll Call

Postby xanthus » Fri Sep 08, 2006 3:26 am

Well Classic Mini owners, please post below if you wish those wanting to buy a Mini or help with their Mini to be able to seek you out for assistance, or just someone to cruise around with.

For myself I am basicly unskilled in anything of major repair, but I am always willing to go for a cruise or attend a car show. In addition I wish to become better with fixing mine so I love to assist those who know more so I can absorb just a wee bit more skill in fixing mine.

I've got a little OCMD myself. :D Currently owning an 05 MCSC, 06 MC, and a 67 Austin Mini 1275. I wish there were someone here in Titusville area that was knowledgeable about the classics. I get do a little handy work but not much. I'm also wanting to know how to work on them a little more in depth. If anyone knows anyone in Brevard or East Orange County, let me know.

email Bobbie - mini1275@bellsouth.net
email John - gwood555@comcast.net

We can perform most any mechanical repair (no bodywork) on classic Minis. We are not a shop, but two long time (over 25 years) Mini owners. We can do pre purchase inspections, regular maintenance, engine & transmission rebuilds or repairs, brake service, modifications, 10" tire mounting & balancing, etc. at very reasonable rates. Email for more info. Engine & suspension mods and gearbox rebuilds a specialty. We also have a fairly large stash of used Mini parts if you need something

Bueller....Bueller....Bueller....(in a Ben Stein monotone)

Second generation OCMD.... actually, my wife would diagnose me as having OC&IMD (obsessive compulsive & impulsive Mini disorder) as all of the sudden I may have a dire need for some mini related accessory. As for the impulsive tendency, I find I may at times alleviate symptoms through intensive ebay therapy.

I have OCMD or maybe OCBCD (obsessive compulsive Brit car disorder). I'm not near enough to FL to cruise and while I don't know very much about Classic Minis yet, I'm learning fast.

Here's the fleet...

2002 MC - 1969 Morris Mini-Cooper S - 2006 Lotus Elise - "1978 Austin" Mini - 2004 MCS

Wow Carnut, what a stable. I wish you lived closer so I could come over and drool.

I would be happy to offer any help to anyone working on a classic. I'm no expert but I am learning fast.

I myself am just learning. Specifically about the MPi engine. I am always happy to learn more from others. Recently I was out in Colorado and was able to attend MOTR's meeting while out there. A lot of the guys have the MPi engine, so they were able to give some pointers here and there, but I am a newbie. I always counted on my brother to work on my cars but I am 3,000 miles away from him now, so I have to learn. I am always up to learning. The guys at MOTR also shared a laundry list of supplies to have for this car. I am always happy to share the list and to help someone if they are looking to buy. I have a lot of contacts and a lot of books on classic Minis to research from.

My Ginger....

If you are talking about Ginger, no. I bought her in this color. I would love to get a Tahiti Blue one though. That is my favorite color.
