I took my sweet Roxanne to Ian at yesterday with a long list of work to do: install pulley, replace belt, upgrade plugs, replace brake pads and rotors and add performance brake fluid. The Service Manager, Ian Steward, has spent his whole life around cars and has 11 years of competitive racing experience. His shop was highly recommended to me, and it's clear why so many people trust Ian - he really knows his stuff! They specialize in Volvo and MINI.
His team did a FANTASTIC job - likely my best maintenace shop experience to date! The team at Maitland Importers performed a full inspection prior to doing the work - including computer check, air pressure check and top off all fluids. The only issues not on my list that came up in the inspection were control arm bushings and grubby air filter - both of which I suspected anyway, so no big surprise there. ALL the work was completed in the same day; all parts were in stock! When I picked up my MINI he showed me the condition of every bad part - which he had neatly packaged in the new part packaging and offered them back to me (I took the plugs since I just had them put in a few weeks ago at Firestone, and my old pulley that I can use for a paperweight or something). The technician (Phil) that serviced my car introduced himself and referred to my car by name, which I thought was very nice.
If you're looking for a good honest shop with reasonable pricing and friendly service, this is your place. is not close to my home or work, but I will make the drive every time for all my future MINI service needs. I highly recommend Maitland Importers.
