Polo Shirts?

Postby captbj » Thu Sep 01, 2011 9:59 pm

Any interest in a polo shirt with the SSM logo embroidered, left side front? I know a few companies that do this - the cost IS a little more than a printed T but the shirt is a step up in appearance - suitable in different situations. Places I know will let you pick from a large selection of shirt colors.

I believe we could use something very close to the existing artwork

give me some feedback on interest

I had good luck doing these in the past but that may have been influenced by the fact it was an approved alternate work dress on Fridays :-k

I organized a run of these a few years back. I'm happy to do it again. As Snooter said, we would get that work done through COOPERation. The ones he did for us were fabulous.

I would be interested contingent upon the size of the logo.
Nothing oversized/ostentatious as I’d be sporting this at work.

I got one a couple of years ago and it's not oversized/ostentatious at all. I wear it to work and I like it! ;)b

I'll get back on this. I also have a request for a new run of t-shirts so I'll do them both at the same time. :-D

Craig should already have the stitching pattern for the SSM logo for the polo shirts. I can't remember what the minimum order is for stitched polo shirts. (Wore mine today, coincidentally.)

Yes. I coordinated this before. He sent me a catalog with the shirt choices and I just need to choose shirts and post it.

I was focusing on the t-shirts which took A LOT longer to get the minimum order than originally planned. So I'll look back into this.

I have been in contact with a company and plan to move out on this soon after the holidays

the path I have in mind will put a club logo in a company library and you'll be able to order from a selection of clothing products with our saved logo embroidered - jackets, sweat shirts, hats, polos and button downs.

I'm willing to discuss what logo to place in the library and am currently looking at

Image

about 2.5 inches wide

if you have other ideas you can discuss this here for a few weeks ... consider that a logo size of 3.5 inches in diameter max limits the detail that can be achieved . . .

teaser - many of us in the Orlando/mid Florida region know this company . . .

and no minimum order to start . . . 'someone' just pays the setup fee and I have a syndicate willing to cover that . . .

Wow – 3.5” is a bit larger than I was hoping for polo shirts.
Was looking for something a bit subtler.

Um, I'm already working on this as I said I would. I needed to get clear of the t-shirt order first and planned to do this after the holidays. The t-shirt order took a long time because it took months to get the minimum order.

the logo I showed, about 2.5 inches wide is what I'm thinking -- if you think smaller, I'm listening. Just remember that detail gets lost as you go smaller so the design needs to be simple.

the mention of 3.5 inch is that's what most embroid' machines can do on the big side with out getting into the BIG BUCKS (big machines). So if you want to do the "club logo" including the cars and the palm tree in 3.5, it gets a bit busy and detail is lost. Smaller needs to be simpler. OTOH we could almost copy a "grill badge" by size . . . for example

another has suggested the "10 year" badge logo but my thought is that gets dated fast .... who'd want a ten year badge next year? for the long term we'd want something generic?

some size references

this circle design is about 2 inches in diam'

this open design is 3.5
