Big Loss in the Mini Community

Postby elpez » Thu Jan 14, 2010 11:58 am

Dear Mini/MINI friends,

As you may already know, this past Monday, Humberto Rojas passed away. You may know him as the friendly and knowledgeable Mini mechanic that worked alongside Sergio in his shop, as well as one who prepared the Carrera PanAmericana Mini. Apart from his vast knowledge and experience as a mechanic, he was extremely friendly and courteous, and given the opportunity , a very generous man with his knowledge of cars and life in general, always ready to lend a hand or to impart his wisdom to the simple mechanical problems we all face.

Humberto is survived by his two daughters Joana and Andrea, as well as his wife, Rosa Elena, who is currently in Colombia. His passing has affected them greatly, not only in the loss of a father and husband but as the provider for his family.

This has affected all of us in the Mini/MINI community and we will miss him. We have an opportunity to assist his family in their time of need. I ask that all of you please contribute what you can to assist in the funeral expenses for this friend.

We know that the economy is slow and that your donations are being requested by multiple parties. This is an opportunity to help a closely knit family in our own community in their time of need.

Sergio Ochoa has set up a fund for Humberto, please contribute what you can knowing it will be much appreciated. We will accept your donations in an envelope with your name, please make out your checks to:

Andrea Rojas

Sergio and Juan
