OK, here goes !

I'm tphonebill....been away for some time but still around !
I'm using a desk top Dell computer
OS is Windows XP
no error messages per se...just keeps telling me I'm successfully logged on, then bumps me back to sign on screen
over and over and over ! I finally checked the box to automatically log me in every time and now I'm here !
I use AOL
Never had to reset password.
yesterday, Fri. 4/08/2011, was the first time i tried to log on a several months and it started then.

I wonder if it's been fixed now ??

Been having trouble A LOT, this is the first time I'm able to log in all week. I find I'm mostly able to get on late at night.

I was in touch with our Internet host today and they said Brighthouse made changes to their system a few weeks ago causing web sites all over Florida to have trouble resolving DNS (domain name servers). They said this is likely the cause of the DNS error messages folks have been getting. They recommended changes to our DNS settings, which I made around noon today. If you keep having trouble please report it here and include your ISP (internet service provider) please.

Hah that doesn't surprise me. Now that you mention it, I was having the same types of issues remotely checking my email with brighthouse. Figures.

This is the first time I have been able to access SSM in over a week. Tried both Firefox and IE, my Windows laptop and my wife's Macbook with no success. ISP is Brighthouse.

In the past month or so, I have had to try to open the site 3-4 times in a row before I could get in.

Based on these early reports it would seem the problem has been fixed. Time for some cider. :guinness:

When my son Tyler (ShakeNBake) logs in, the site tells him he's logged in, then, when that page refreshes, it tells him "this board had no forums"and nothing else is available for him to access.

Must be something with his account. I can log in both at home and at work with my account and I get the same message when I try logging in using his info. He can log in using my info as well, but not his. He's down there in Orlando, while I'm up here in VA. Any ideas what's up?

Okay, I've got a weird one. When using Google Chrome, I don't get notifications of PMs, even though my board preferences are set to let me know.

Are pop-up windows blocked? I think Chrome blocks them by default.

I have been using Chrome for a long time, pop-ups allowed, and I do not receive my PM pop-ups. I just more or less got used to it.
